For a long time I noticed a pattern in my home, things would be going peaceful and joyful for a long time and suddenly out of the blues, a thought would drop on my mind that it’s been a while we had a disagreement.
For a long time, I always just discarded that thought because I’m like “before nko, that’s how it’s supposed to be, are we supposed to be fighting ni?”
The surprising thing for me is that within that day or the next at most, we’ll end up having a disagreement. It would usually be one little thing and it would get us all worked up for nothing.
When I became aware of this trend, I shared the thought with King D as soon as it dropped on my mind. He did mention that whenever I encounter such thought, I should cover us both with the blood of Jesus and also share with him whenever such thoughts randomly pop up so we can be at alert.
The next day, we were at the verge of engaging in a serious argument when King D reminded me that the random thought from the previous day was about becoming a reality. He proceeded to laugh it off and said we won’t fight in Jesus name. Lol!
Then it dawned on me, it has always been the Holy Spirit, trying to alert me ahead of impending disagreement that’s intended to disrupt our peace momentarily.
One undisputed fact is that every marriage has an enemy (Did I hear you say God forbid?). It’s beyond what you do or what you dont, beyond if you post your marriage on social media or not.
There is a force that attracts the enemy to a marriage. It’s the force of Unity! That oneness, that togetherness is an attraction. The devil fights the result of unity. He never wants any to chase a thousand not to talk of ten!
So the next time you begin to experience unexplainable conflicts in your home, while you address your individual differences make sure you are also putting the enemy of your marriage in his rightful place.
Some conflicts are orchestrated to hinder certain greatness and goodness making it’s way to your home. We may fight and settle later, but we do not know what we lose during those moments of disunity! Stay Sensitive and protect the peace of your home with wisdom!!!
P.S: I finally gained courage to write outside of my personal journal. I want to thank everyone who sent me words of encouragement when I shared some challenges I encounter on this writing space on my WhatsApp status a while ago. I hope you are happy to read from me today? Thank you so much for your words of strength and encouragement. God bless and enrich you.
It’s #relationtipWednesday!
