CLICK ME TO READ LAST EPISODE:

A lady shared a story of what transpired between herself, her friend and her boyfriend.

She and her boyfriend had a minor quarrel, you know regular bants between partners. The guy was pained and needed to vent so he called up her friend to report her.

He told her friend what happened and even though in all fairness they both had their fair share of the blame, surprisingly her friend didn’t stop at blaming her but saw that as an avenue to say more. She went on and on about how horrible she is and so on.

Even her boyfriend shock😮, E shock you too?Well, just like normal bants, it didn’t take long before they reconciled and at that point, the guy had to tell her to be careful of her friend.

I have also experienced this while I was in the University. My relationship with King D was such that I introduced him to people who were close to me. We had a fight one time and due to distance, it was looking like we wouldn’t settle. I wasn’t giving him an audience at all. He needed to talk to people around me and he called someone up who decided to utilize that opportunity to tell him horrible horrible things. To what end? I really don’t know. I’m not so shocked because such a thing happened in the Bible.

Memucan who was one of the right-hand men of King Ahasuerus played a pivotal role in ending Vashti’s role as the queen.

I am not in any way justifying her actions but aren’t we humans who are prone to make mistakes sometimes? No one is error-proof.

The King may have given her a second chance, or maybe not. I can’t tell. But Memucan successfully expanded the matter till it peppered the King even more.

Esther 1:16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus. Esther 1:21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:

Now, these are the issues;-If you are a friend to someone, and you are really concerned about some of their bad traits. You should speak to them about it and not to their partner or anyone else. What would be your motive for telling their partner instead of speaking to them directly?- When someone is pained by an offence, it’s not your responsibility to fuel it more. Don’t expand it. If you can’t help them, you should at least leave the matter as it is.

Extend grace to others because there will be a time you’ll also need such.If you are a Memucan, please change. If you have one as a friend, be careful.

Olorun a wa pelu e oh😉 (God will be with you)

May the Lord deliver us all from the strifes of tongues🙏That’s it for #RelationTipWednesday. I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy the rest of your week.
