On social media these days, 2FA has become a thing. If by chance one’s account gets hacked, One of the first questions you get asked is if you had your two factor authentication activated.
This is a form of double protection (extra security layer) in the sense that even after putting in your password just to be double sure that it is actually you you may be required to put in a code to be sure that you are the one trying to gain access into that account.
So let me bring this home, there are times that God may use humans to connect you to your spouse. This may be in form of recommendation or even matchmaking and there’s nothing wrong with this. But my friend you must not forget second factor authentication.
This person may have come highly recommended by your pastor your boss or some elderly people that you respect a lot and you are sure of their values. They may have told you how well behaved this person is, how kind, diligent, faithful and God fearing this person is, but this is not enough. Of course they mean well for you, I mean they definitely want the best for you, but unfortunately if things turn around the best any man can do for you is to support you with prayers and counsel, they would not live with you or directly bear the brunt.
So the second factor authentication I’m talking about is you going back to God laying it all before him to ensure that you are on the same page with God. This is not outdated!
Let me tell you why this is important, some humans have perfected the act of pretending and no matter the amount of due diligence you do, you will never get to the root of it. Only God is the revealer of secrets. There are many people who are good ‘outside’ but when you live with them then you know that they are not who they appear to be on the outside. This is a trap many has fallen into including those who were vouched for.
So friend, before you make that decision or take that step, seek the face of God without any rush and without any conclusions in your mind. Let him guide you, He alone knows the future and is able to save us from disaster that awaits us.
You will not marry your enemy in Jesus name. Amen.
