2. INCOMPATIBILITY IN FAITH AND BELIEF:
On no account should you be in a relationship
with an unbeliever. (1 Cor. Do not be deceived:
Evil communications corrupt good manners,
2Cor. 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together
with unbelievers)”.
Having an affair with an unbeliever is a
disobedience to God on its own, since the bible
says we should not be unequally yoked with
such people, having an affair with an unbeliever
is an example. Now imaging the kind of
marriage that will come from disobeying God’s
word. No matter how nice a man is in conduct,
generosity or general character, if he is not
having same spiritual belief like you do, it will
tell soon because there will be no spiritual
convenience, environment and agreement. It can
affect the level of God’s involvement in the
affair of your home because God doesn’t live in
a place of confusion. If not careful, it may debar
you from getting to heaven, because you will be
going through spiritual antagonism & struggle,
instead of having a spiritual complement &
progress.
This means your personal relationship with God
should be perfect too, so as to attract a like or
better Godly partner. It is obvious that you
won’t enjoy your eventual marriage if you marry
an unbeliever, because there will be a lot of
unseen & seen contradictions. Don’t marry an
unbeliever,…….
