I have once shared how happy I was with my life and what I had going for me until people around me felt it wasn’t good enough. I won’t deny that I entertained that thought for a little while.
Decision making can be tricky and sometimes we seek the input of others; wanting to know their thoughts. What we don’t realize most times is how those opinions get into our subconscious and we start tailoring our decisions towards them.
This story is an example of why people were advised to keep third parties out of their marriage. You must understand the uniqueness of your union. What you and your spouse share is different from every other union out there! Find your rhythm and go with it. Understand the peculiarity of your union and don’t be ashamed about your family dynamics. If you are around people who shame you for it, you may be better off not sharing with them.
You owe your spouse love and kindness, and you don’t need to explain that to any one else.
