BEAUTY IN CHAOS

Today is not just another #relationtipwednesday but itβs our girlsβ birthday! Itβs so amazing that God decided to send both our children to the world on the same day 4 years apart! Itβs a miracle we pray to cherish forever!
So todayβs tip is going to be kids edition sort of! Quick gist! King D was telling me one evening as we all sat in the living room with the girls that Deedee was getting fond of saying βJesuβ when sheβs scared, amused or shocked! We were amazed because though she understands Yoruba a little, she canβt speak yet (we read, we donβt judge!)
So King D said she took after him in calling βJesuβ and I was arguing that I say βJesuβ too! King D laughed and said my default response to shocking situations was βyeβ. I denied it.
It wasnβt up to 5 minutes after this conversation, Jojo had a diaper spill and I wasnβt aware there was a spill. As I carried her to dash into the washroom, I saw the spill and guess what I shouted! Ye!
It was then it dawned on me what my default response was, but thankfully awareness brings change!
Itβs true that children can bring strain to a marriage if care is not taken, but I wanted to share with you some of the ways children can improve oneβs marriage;
– They help us look inward more often, as we observe them trying to act like us or do same things we do. Better you brings about a better marriage
– They help keep the communication line open! You canβt be short of words, stories or gists! They are topic for days!
– They bring out the child in you, you can be carefree, play without fear of being judged and be goofy all you want
– You get to experience the purest form of love and this helps you become selfless and to love others better!
What are your thoughts! How have your children helped your bond with your spouse? Pls share in the comments. Thanks!
Children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward. May we all experience and enjoy this reward as we desire by the mercies of God. Amen!
P.S: Pls bless these great girls for me! Happy Birthday, Deedee and Jojoπππ
